Nature is very cohesive. It bind us as particles and allows little free individual movement.
Look at a smoke cloud. Now try and blow at it. Do only a few particles move in a certain path? No. All the particles follow a certain trajectory, bound with each other. Similarly with water. Do drops flow out as individuals? No. As much as they can, they flow out as a bunch.
We are no different. We look for association, and association and binding is our strength as individuals is, as much as it strengthens a cluster.
